Pension
We are paid minimum pension which is neither equal to singaporean counterparts nor british Gurkha army counterparts. our pension has not been revised for more than three decades. there is no set rule for the increment of pension based on inflation rate
Birth rights
Our children are born and bred in Singapore but do not have birth rights nor any child benefits.
Wives of Gurkhas in singapore are not allowed to work while in singapore and are not even entitled for widow pension after our life.
This is a violation of the right to work. the right to work is the concept that people have a human right to work, or engage in productive employment, and should not be prevented
from doing so. the right to work is enshrined in the universal declaration of human right and recognised in international human right law through its inclusion in the international Covenant on economic, social and cultural rights, where

No Continue of studies/ work permit for children
our children are not allowed to pursue their studies in singapore once we retire or are they allowed to work in singapore.
Retirements age & Second career/resettlement
we are forced to retire at the prime age of 45 years and are not allowed to work elsewhere in singapore unlike our british gurkha counterparts who are allowed to settle in the UK
No medicine Facilities in nepal after retirement
We are forced to retire in Nepal but we do not have medical facilities in Nepal as in singapore.
